Hillary´s documents to go public

WASHINGTON, March 18 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. National Archives announced on Tuesday that it would release more than 11,000 pages of documents recording Hillary Rodham Clinton's activities as the First Lady.

"Arranged chronologically, these records document in detail the activities of the First Lady, including meetings, trips, speaking engagements and social activities for the eight years of the (former President Bill) Clinton's Administration," the National Archives said in a statement.

It also said that 4,746 of the schedules have redactions and some information removed before being released due to privacy concerns.

The documents that are kept at the Clinton's Library in Little Rock, Arkansas, will be available on Wednesday for the view on the Library Web site, it added.

The National Archives let go of the records in response to a lawsuit by Judicial Watch, a conservative legal watchdog group that has long urged for the release of files from the Clinton's White House years.

However, the National Archives said earlier this month that it would take one to two years to process the remaining documents on the Clintons, including 20,000 pages of call logs.

The former First Lady from 1993 to 2001 is caught in a close tie with Barack Obama in the Democratic presidential nominee race.

Obama's campaign has also called for the release of Clinton's First Lady documents to allow the public fully evaluating her experience in politics.
