"After it came into effect in January, the law was welcomed by employees and most employers, but we also noticed some different views and voices," said Vice Minister of Labor and Social Security Sun Baoshu at a press conference on the sidelines of the ongoing parliament annual session.
The 98-article law, enacted on Jan. 1, entitled company employees with more than 10 years of service to sign with their bosses contracts that would protect them from dismissal without any reason.
It also required employers to contribute to their employees' social security accounts and set wage standards for workers on probation and working overtime.
