President Hu joins overseas advisors talks

President Hu Jintao has also spoken with the advisors from the China Zhi Gong Dang and representatives from the group of Overseas Chinese.

Hu Jintao said turning the blueprint of the 17th Party Congress into reality and speeding the pace of constructing a moderately prosperous society requires unity.

He called for the people to continue liberating their minds, working hard and further strengthening the unity among all Chinese in and out of China.

He called on all overseas Chinese to contribute more to China's modernization and play an active role in the peaceful reunification.

He said they can work as a bridge for friendship and understanding between Chinese people and the people around the world.

Hu Jintao also asked the party branches and governments at all levels to serve the overseas Chinese better. Top political advisor Jia Qinglin also took part in the discussion.
