Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Son of Benazir Bhutto, said, "I appreciate that detectives from Scotland Yard have now gone out to assist with the investigation. However, the families and parties' request is for a UN-sponsored investigation as we do not believe that an investigation under the authority of the Pakistani government has a necessary transparency. Already so much forensic evidence has been destroyed."
19-year-old Bilawal Bhutto is a student at Oxford University. He says he wants to continue his studies before starting his political career. He says his father will be in charge of the People's Party during his absence.
British police are now in Pakistan to assist in the probe into Bhutto's assassination. Bhutto's death has triggered turmoil in Pakistan and has postponed January's elections.
