Israeli strikes kill four Islamic Jihad militants in Gaza

GAZA, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Four Palestinian militants were killed on Tuesday morning in two Israeli army artillery shelling incidents on southern and northern Gaza Strip, medics and witnesses reported.

The armed wing of Islamic Jihad (Holy War) said that three of its militants were killed east of Rafah town in southern Gaza Strip.

The fourth was killed in a gun battle before dawn near the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun, the movement added.
