Iran: US comments can not affect relations of Mideast countries

Tehran says recent comments about Iran from Washington cannot affect relations between countries in the Mideast.

Earlier, US Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Iran is seeking to cause chaos, and its neighbors must demand Tehran renounces any intention of pursuing nuclear weapons.

Iran says such remarks amount to interference in the internal affairs of other countries, and are aimed at disrupting the unity of the Middle Eastern region.
