UNITED NATIONS, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- The United States presented on Thursday the UN Security Council with a draft resolution, requesting endorsement of the latest agreement at Annapolis by Israel and Palestine.
U.S. Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad told reporters after closed-door consultations Thursday afternoon that there was enormous support towards the draft resolution among Council members.
The draft resolution endorses the program of action for negotiations and implementation of outstanding obligations pursuant to the roadmap agreed upon by the Israeli and Palestinian leadership at Annapolis, Maryland, on Nov. 27, 2007.
