Special Report: Chang'e I -Journey to the MoonChinese scientists say the country's first lunar orbiter, Chang'e One will brake for the third time at about 8am, Beijing time on Wednesday before entering its final orbit. They say success of the final braking marks the success of the orbiter's entire mission.
Wednesday morning's braking will slow down the orbiter's speed to 1.59 kilometers per second to put in on a 127-minute round polar circular orbit. It will travel around the orbit for about a year for scientific research.
