Special Report: Chang'e I -Journey to the MoonChina's first lunar probe, Chang'e-One, has completed another braking procedure to further slow the satellite as it gets closer to its final orbit.
The second braking started at 11:21 this morning Beijing time. About 14 minutes later, Chang'e-One entered a three-and-a-half-hour orbit with a perilune of about 200 kilometers.
Chang'e-One completed its first braking on Monday and entered the moon's orbit, which made it become China's first circumlunar satellite. Experts say Chang'e-One will brake for a third time tomorrow morning. After that, the probe is expected to enter its final orbit.
