Senior advisors show support for new CPC leadership

Special Report: 17th CPC National CongressBEIJING, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- China's senior political advisors have showed their unanimous support for the newly-formed central leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) at the recent 17th Party Congress and its first plenary session of the 17th CPC Central Committee.
They also voiced overwhelming support for the report by CPC General Secretary Hu Jintao and all resolutions of the CPC Congress, at Saturday's panel discussions of the 19th session of the 10th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, attended the discussion.
The senior CPPCC members hailed that the CPC Congress was a very important event for the country's Reform and Opening-up Drive, which has entered its crucial stage. They agreed that to well study and implement the essence of the Party Congress is the primary political task for the CPPCC at present and for a period of time.
On the same day, the senior political consultants paid a visit to the newly-built National Theater, in central Beijing, and they watched theatrical performances.
In related developments these days, leading Party and government officials at provincial level have been studying the essence of the Party Congress, and showed their full support to the new Party central leadership with Hu Jintao re-elected as general secretary.
