Special Report: 17th CPC National CongressThe Political Bureau of the 17th CPC Central Committee has held its first plenary session.
The session discussed how to implement the Party's policies as established in the 17th CPC National Congress. General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Hu Jintao, presided over Tuesday's proceedings.
The participants said the 17th Party Congress was held at a critical stage of China's reform and development. And they agreed the top political duty right now is to carry out the goals and tasks set by the Congress. This requires Party members at all levels to work together and tackle problems directly affecting people's lives. The meeting also concluded the Party should remain progressive and continue to strengthen its governing abilities.
