Tibetan delegation arrives in Beijing for CPC Nat´l Congress

A delegation from the Tibet Autonomous Region was the first to arrive in Beijing for the upcoming 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
A Tibetan delegate said, "As a CPC member from the remote border region, I feel very excited that I can take part in the upcoming National Congress. I'll always take people's expectations to heart, and express my opinions and suggestions on the grand project of Party building."
More delegates from across the country are expected to arrive over the weekend. The Congress opens on Monday and will review the Party's work over the last five years. It's expected to develop strategies for the overall advancement of China's opening-up reforms and its drive towards socialist modernization.
And it will elect a new CPC Central Committee and a new Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
