The media center for the upcoming 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has begun operations.
The center is based in the Media Center Hotel, near the CCTV compound in western Beijing. The center will process applications and credentials for correspondents from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan region as well as serve foreign journalists covering the Congress. It will also coordinate related activities for reporters.
The official website of the center, www.cpcnews.cn, also opens today. The website will provide up-to-date information about the Congress in both Chinese and English.
