An Iranian general has warned that Tehran has plans ready for retaliating against any Israeli attack. Deputy Air Force Commander Mohammad Alavi gave an interview with the semiofficial Fars news agency on Wednesday. He said Israel is within range of Iran's medium-range missiles and fighter-bombers.
Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards have also weighed in. He says Iran has prepared its people for a possible confrontation against any aggression. The US and its allies have been demanding that Iran curtail its nuclear program. The comments came as a reflection of concerns in Tehran that the demands could escalate into military action.
