Premier Wen Jiabao addresses the World Economic Forum in Dalian on September 6, 2007. The forum, also called the Inaugural Annual Meeting of the New Champions, runs from September 6 to 9 and involves over 1,700 participants from more than 90 countries. [Xinhua]

The first annual meeting of the "New Champions," known as the "Summer Davos," has opened in the northeastern Chinese city of Dalian.

As a platform to link multinational companies, it focusese on concerns such branding and financial governance. Premier Wen Jiabao addressed the opening ceremony and outlined ways to maintain China's economic growth.
