South Korea says it's happy that the DPRK will declare and disable its nuclear programs by the end of the year. Seoul also says the upcoming inter-Korea summit will help speed that disarmament.
South Korea is pleased with the agreement reached at talks between the DPRK and the United States in Geneva. Seoul calls the deal a step in the right direction.
South Korean Presidential spokesman Cheon Ho-seon said, "This is also a good signal for the peace-process on the Korean Peninsula as there will soon be a South Korea-US summit, six-party talks and the inter-Korean summit."
