China´s shipbuilding orders hit record high

China has overtaken Japan to rank second in terms of vessel order book tonnage, a major shipbuilding index.

China's shipbuilding industry has developed rapidly in recent years. By the end of June, the ordered tonnage exceeded one hundred million. And the total profits hit more than 6 billion yuan, or more than 800 million US dollars.

Currently, China has nearly 30 percent of the world market.
