7 kidnapped Chinese workers on way home

Seven released Chinese workers are on their way back to China. They left the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Tuesday evening local time.

The Chinese ambassador saw them off at the airport. The seven were kidnapped a week ago Tuesday during an attack on a Chinese oil company site.

Nine other Chinese were killed, one was slightly injured. 65 Ethiopian employees were also killed, and over a hundred soldiers in charge of the security on the site were either killed or wounded. The anti-government "Ogaden National Liberation Front" has claimed responsibility for the attack.
