Lien Chan: 13 new policies welcomed by Taiwan compatriots

The Honorary Chairman of the Kuomintang Party, Lien Chan, has returned to Taiwan after attending the forum on cross-straits cooperation in economy, trade, and culture.

He says the thirteen new policies agreed on at the forum will definitely be welcomed by Taiwan compatriots. The package of policies covers transportation, education, and tourism. The meeting was co-sponsored by the Communist Party of China and the Chinese Kuomingtang.

Lien Chan says he hopes Taiwan's ruling party, the Democratic Progress Party, will act according to the will of Taiwan residents.
