KMT Honorary Chairman Lien Chan sweeps tombs of maternal ancestors

Special Report: Cross-strait forumHonorary Kuomintang Party Chairman, Lien Chan, has swept the tombs of his ancestors in northeast China's Shenyang City. He says he hopes that the upcoming cross-strait economic, trade and cultural forum will be a success.
Lien Chan came to Shenyang at his mother's request.
His mother Zhao Lankun is a hundred years old and lives with Lien in Taiwan. She's a native of Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning province, but she hasn't seen her hometown in more than 75 years.
Lien Chan's wife and children took part in the tomb-sweeping ceremony at a park in the suburbs of Shenyang.
