The US network NBC has released more footage of the gunman from Monday's massacre at Virginia Tech. It shows 23-year-old Cho Seung-Hui saying that he was prepared to die.
Cho railed against wealth and debauchery, portraying himself as a defender of the weak. He also voiced admiration for the two men who carried out mass shootings at Columbine High School in 1999.
NBC says it thinks the package they received from Cho was mailed sometime between his first killing of two people in a dormitory and his second attack two hours later in a classroom building.
Altogether, he shot dead 32 staff and students before turning the gun on himself. Monday's tragedy is being called the deadliest shooting in modern US history.
Students at the university have reacted with disbelief after watching the newly released material. Some relatives of the victims are upset at NBC's decision to air the footgae.
