Premier Wen arrives in Seoul for official visit

Special Report: Premier Wen visits JapanChinese Premier Wen Jiabao has arrived in Seoul for an official two-day visit to the Republic of Korea. The visit follows an invitation by ROK President, Roh Moo-hyun.
Wen is expected to talk with Roh over the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula, the situation in northeast Asia, regional cooperation and other international issues of common concern during his two-day visit. Wen is also scheduled to meet his South Korean counterpart Han Duck-soo and the country's congress leaders during the first visit by a Chinese premier in seven years.
Wen's visit to South Korea coincides with the "China-ROK Exchange Year", which includes nearly 50 China-sponsored exchange programs. Premier Wen will kick-off the event with South Korean leaders in Seoul. On Wednesday, the Chinese premier is scheduled to leave Seoul for Tokyo. This, at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Premier Wen's entourage includes Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, as well as the head of the National Development and Reform Commission, Ma Kai and Commerce Minister, Bo Xilai.
