China to ratify border treaty with Vietnam, Laos

In last October, China, Vietnam and Laos signed a deal, fixing the exact point where the three countries meet.
That agreement has now been submitted to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for approval.

The three countries agreed that their borders should meet at a point on the Shiceng Dasha Mountain 1864 meters above sea level. The treaty took four years to negotiate.
The Foreign Affairs Committee of the NPC says its important for the stability and development of the boundary area.
