Sri Lanka President presents two corneas to China

In Beijing, where Sri Lankan President, Mahinda Rajapakse has arrived for a seven-day state visit.
This year is the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Sri Lanka and to mark that occasion, Rajapakse presented two corneas to the Chinese Red Cross. The two countries are expected to sign a agreement on corneal transplants during Rajapakse's visit.
The Sri Lankan president also gifted a five-year-old elephant to Beijing Zoo, which will be brought out in public next month. It's the third elephant Sri Lanka has given to China. During his stay in Beijing, Rajapakse will meet President Hu Jintao and other top leaders.
After Beijing, Rajapakse will visit Hubei Province, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
