US, S.Korea reach complete consensus for upcoming six-party talks

U.S. and South Korean negotiators held strategy talks Sunday, in preparation for the resumption of the Six-party talks on DPRK's nuclear programs. The six party talks are set to resume Thursday in Beijing.
U.S. chief negotiator Christopher Hill and his South Korean counterpart Chun Yung-woo say there is complete consenus in their joint strategy: no divergence on the implementation of the September statement on DPRK's nuclear program.
Hill said, "What we're striving for and, frankly, we cannot accept anything less than 100 percent implementation of the September statement. So that's what we're looking for."
After the meeting, Chun Yung-woo, who will represent South Korea at the talks agreed that there is full accord between the U.S. and South Korean positions.
Chun Yung-Woo, S. Korean deputy foreign minister, said, "South Korea and the United States reached complete consensus on strategy for the upcoming six-party talks."
Diplomats from China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the United States, South Korea, Russia and Japan will gather in Beijing Thursday. It marks the third session of the fifth round of the six-party talks on nuclear issues on the Korean Peninsula.
