In Somalia, where clan elders have met to discuss rioting in the capital of Mogadishu. On Saturday, hundreds of people protested violently against the presence of Ethiopian troops. The protests came a week after Ethiopia overthrew the Islamic Courts Union that had virtually unified the country for the first time in years.
Crowds of people marched through central Mogadishu, holding sticks and stones and shouting anti-Ethiopian slogans.
The protest comes a week after heavily armed Ethiopian forces helped Somalia's Transitional Federal Government drive out Islamists from the capital.
During the demonstration, a young boy was killed by Somali and Ethiopian troops.
Omar Halane, Dead boy's father, said, "They have shot and killed my son for no good reason. I call on all Somalis to fight Ethiopian troops who are in our country."
The Islamists have vowed to fight on, melting into Somalia's remote southern tip, where Ethiopian and government forces continue to pursue them.
Meanwhile, Kenya sealed the border after Somalia's interim government urged it to stop leaders of the Somalia Islamic Courts Council from escaping.
Business and humanitarian goods were also affected by this restriction, as all movement to and from Somalia has stopped.
