African Union to discuss deploying troops to Somalia

The African Union commissioner for peace and security has said another chance to bring peace to Somalia shouldn't be passed up. The union is preparing to discuss deploying troops to Somalia.

Said Dginnti, Peace & Security commissioner, Africa Union, said, "We have missed so many opportunities in the past, since 1991 it's not the first opportunity which is given to Somalis and to the international community to help, but it's yet an opportunity which is given to us, we from the Africa Union believe that the Somalis are ready for that last step for genuine reconciliation and peaceful solution in Somalia, we want to mobilize the international community for that opportunity to be seized and we will do everything in our means and our capacity to seize the opportunity."
