Yemen, Libya appeal to save Saddam Hussein´s life

Special Report: Iraq in TransitionYemeni and Libyan governments made 11th hour appeals to spare Saddam Hussein's execution.
According to official Yemeni news agency Saba, it's Prime Minister Abdul-Kader Bajammal wrote to the U.S. and Iraqi presidents, urging them to save Saddam. In his letter, Bajammal said that Saddam's execution would worsen sectarian violence in Iraq.
Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi also indirectly appealed to save Saddam's life. He told Al-Jazeera television that Saddam's trial was illegal and that he should have been retried by an international court.
