In the Iraqi capital, a car bomb in Adhamiya district has killed 15 people and wounded 30.

The mainly Sunni Arab district in Baghdad is a stronghold for supporters of former President Saddam Hussein. And it's seen frequent attacks by insurgents on US troops and Iraqi security forces.

Earlier on Tuesday, three simultaneous car bombs exploded in a busy intersection in a predominantly Shi'ite district in southwestern Baghdad killing at least 14 people and wounding dozens.
