China wants more trade union exchanges

China's trade union leader, Wang Zhaoguo, has met leaders of international and foreign trade unions over the weekend. They're in Beijing for an international forum which opens on Monday.

The president of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions says peace, development, cooperation and the workers' interests remain the theme of the international movement. Wang Zhaoguo is also the vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the NPC. He called for trade unions to work together for a harmonious environment for the international movement. He also says China wants more cooperation with its international counterparts.
