Military to select interim PM

In Thailand the ruling military council says it has chosen a prime minister to head interim civilian government. It did not say whom, but indicated that the new leader will not be a military figure. The announcement came nine days after the coup that ousted Thaksin Shinawatra. The choice of prime minister was unanimously approved by all members of the Council for Democratic Reform.
