The director of the United Nations World Food Program has arrived in Colombo, for a two-day tour of the ravaged areas.
James Morris traveled to the hard-hit southern coastal town of Galle, noting that the economic strength and fabric of Sri Lanka have been interrupted. He said the country needs help, but the international community has been extraordinarily generous in providing cash and other aid. Morris will also meet ambassadors to the US and Japan to discuss food aid.
