Red Cross Society of China sends relief team

The Red Cross Society of China has sent its first relief team to tsunami-hit countries. The 10-member team will visit Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Thailand to help with infrastructure reconstruction projects. They will also monitor how monetary donations from China are being distributed and used in these tsunami-hit countries. Donations totaling about 2.5 million dollars from Red Cross China have been distributed so far.
