China, Netherlands discuss cooperation

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao Wednesday held talks with the presidents of the first and second chambers of the Dutch Parliament, Yvonne Timmerman-Buck and Frans Weisglas. Both sides spoke highly of the cooperation between China's National People's Congress and the Netherlands' Parliament.

Wen Jiabao said the good relations are helping people from both countries understand each other, and promote long-term cooperation between China and the Netherlands. The premier invited parliamentarians from the Netherlands to visit China.

Officials from the Dutch parliament expressed their willingness to strengthen ties with China, especially with China's top legislative body. The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common interest.
