NOEL GALLAGHER will be wearing his lucky pants for Italy on Sunday after settling another family squabble with brother Liam.
The Oasis front man has been recruited by pal Alessandro Del Piero to act as the Azzurri’s unofficial World Cup final mascot.
And Gallagher is convinced his presence in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium will help the Italians to glory.
The singer-songwriter, who penned hits such as Wonderwall, became friends with Del Piero when the Juventus star attended an Oasis gig in Turin a few years ago.
Gallagher, 39, explained: “Alessandro is an Oasis fan and after one concert he gave me a pair of his boots. But I had to give one of them to Liam.
“I’d never seen Italy playing live until the World Cup semi-final against Germany in Dortmund the other day.
“We went to the team hotel before the game and Del Piero was a bit upset because he wasn’t in their starting line-up.
“Then he told me ‘I’m going to come off the bench and score’ — and that’s exactly what he did.
“After the game he said that I’d become his lucky mascot and he’s so superstitious I’ve got to go to the final and wear exactly the same clothes to bring him good luck — right down to my socks and underwear.”
