Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira was left to rue mistakes after seeing France end their World Cup dreams.
France deservedly ended Brazil's reign as world champions with an impressive 1-0 win in Frankfurt.
Thierry Henry scored the only goal of the game and Parreira was unhappy with his side's defending for the winner.
"We made some silly mistakes and that cost us," said Parreira.
"We had not expected to go out so early.
"Henry and Zidane were very dangerous.
"I would like to thank the players. I didn't do my job because my job here was to get to the final.
"In Brazil when the national team loses the coach is to blame so I believe we will follow this script once again.
"We never prepared for this moment. This is a very difficult moment for all of us."
