　　I think it was about time that we got a bit of luck in a game. Yes, we could have scored more goals, but in the end we had to rely on (David) Beckham. He's a player who always attracts criticism, but he showed again today that he's capable of deciding a match.

　　We played much better in the second half, and so I’m confident about what’s to come. The team is getting better and Wayne Rooney is improving with every game. Why did I stop the (Peter) Crouch substitution? Because after the goal I thought that it was better to reinforce the midfield. That was the reason.

　　We’ve been improving in every game. We’re very happy to have got to this point. Now we’ve got six days to recover after what was a very hard game.
