　　We were motivated to make it to the Round of 16. It was warm out there, but we kept on running hard and eventually we succeeded. We could have scored more goals but our opponents did not do everything to win and we made it hard for them to score. We wanted to win, although a draw would have been enough.

　　Andriy SHEVCHENKO (UKR)

　　I’m happy that we won, but of course it wasn’t a brilliant match. The reason for this, I think, was the psychological pressure we were under. We knew it was important first of all not to lose and that’s why the team wasn’t playing offensive football.

　　Zied JAZIRI (TUN)

　　It’s a big failure because we could have beaten the Ukraine. The World Cup just didn’t come at the right moment for us because we had injuries to key players. As for the coach, he has signed for two years, so it’s normal that he will stay.

　　Every four years we do the same thing. Even with the little that we showed in this tournament, there is no doubt we had the ability to get past the first round.
