　　John Terry insists England have been working hard on defending from set-pieces ahead of their World Cup second-round game against Ecuador on Sunday.

　　England showed their defensive vulnerability as Sweden twice scored from dead-ball situations as England drew their final group game 2-2 on Tuesday.

　　There were also a number of other scares and Terry admits the team must improve in that area.

　　The Chelsea defender said in a press conference televised by Sky Sports: 'We have done a few set-plays and worked on free-kicks. I'm certain it won't happen again, we work on that very much in training.

　　'The boys who have come in have done very well. We have looked very solid and 'Carra' (Jamie Carragher) did brilliantly when he came in.

　　'The lads have done very well. It is just the set-plays we need to work on.'

　　Terry is aware of the need to raise intensity for the Ecuador game now they have reached the knockout stage.

　　He added: 'It is cut-throat now and we are excited by the fact we need to up our game and improve.'
