　　PARIS, June 23 (Reuters) - Most French people believe their national team will fail to advance into the last 16 at the World Cup finals, a poll suggests on Friday.

　　France, who have yet to win a World Cup match since they beat Brazil 3-0 in the 1998 final on home turf, take on Togo later on Friday in Group G and need to win by two goals if they are to qualify for sure.

　　Fifty nine percent of their compatriots, however, do not believe Les Bleus will succeed, a poll published in daily Le Parisien on Friday shows.

　　Only 32 percent of the 1,001 questioned people think Raymond Domenech's proteg??s will progress from Group G.

　　France failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the 2002 World Cup after failing to score a goal in their three Group matches.

　　In this year's finals in Germany, they were held to a goalless draw by Switzerland before squandering a 1-0 lead over South Korea in a game that ended 1-1.
