　　Branko Ivankovic (IRN): We felt we could win right until the very end, and I must congratulate the players for giving it their all. Luck was not on our side, though. We created a lot more opportunities than Angola and we deserved to win the game. We’ve not enjoyed much good fortune over the three matches to be honest. Against Mexico I thought we should have come away with a point, and I felt we deserved more today as well. But that’s football and it’s the small things that make the difference. That’s where we’re lacking at the moment. We had a few injury problems early in the game as well, and that hampered us in terms of the substitutions we could make. With four forwards on the pitch, we tried to get forward quickly, create chances and win the game.

　　Luis Oliveira Goncalves (ANG): We didn’t play good football today and you could tell that both sides were a little anxious. When we scored I thought we could go on and win the game, but we just didn’t have it in us to get a second. I must congratulate Portugal and Mexico for qualifying. There’s no doubt they were the best two sides in the group and they fully deserve to go through. In general, I’m very, very proud of the way my team has performed, and we can leave Germany with our heads held high. That’s the most important thing about our whole World Cup experience.
