查爾頓爵士Sir Bobby Charlton提醒英格蘭隊主教練埃裏克森，英格蘭隊應該向幾年前５－１戰勝德國隊那樣去戰鬥。

　　在看到英格蘭隊此次世界盃的兩場比賽之後，查爾頓爵士認為英格蘭隊踢得沒有章法，而且有太多的長傳。

　　“我們需要找到５－１戰勝德國隊時的感覺。那場比賽是完美的，我們用準確的傳球和節奏痛擊了德國隊。”

　　查爾頓爵士認為埃裏克森的戰術並沒有得到球員們的共鳴，有很多優秀的球員被忽略了。

　　SVEN GORAN ERIKSSON has been urged to play a tape of the 5-1 win over Germany to remind the players what they can do.

　　The message comes from World Cup winner Sir Bobby Charlton. He fears we are miles away from that performance with a disjointed style and too many long balls.

　　We are hardly rocking the competition in Germany but Sir Bobby believes we can if we rediscover the tactics from that Munich performance.

　　Charlton insisted: “What Sven needs to do is get a tape of that brilliant 5-1 win over Germany out to remind everyone how we can play. That was perfect. We got at the German side with pace and precision passing.

　　“We did not give their defenders time to think. Right now we are giving defenders too much time to think — we need to put them under more pressure.”

　　Charlton believes the players do not look settled with whatever it is Sven is telling them to do. And that too many of our best players are being bypassed.
