法新社消息，本屆世界盃前14場比賽在ESPN2頻道，獲得比4前高出一倍的收視率。

　　這前14場比賽的平均收視率高達1.3，而2002年只有0.6。韓日世界盃時比賽集中在美國時間的午夜，而本屆德國世界盃，比賽是在美國時間的清早或者下午。

　　上周的轉播中並無美國隊比賽，但是平均收視率還是達到了2.8，這與2002年世界盃第一週的轉播相比，提升了65%。

　　BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) -- The ratings for the first 14 World Cup games on ESPN2 have more than doubled from four years ago.

　　The network averaged a 1.3 over the first 14 games, as opposed to an 0.6 from 2002. Those games were aired in the middle of the night because of the tournament being held in South Korea and Japan. This year's World Cup is in Germany, meaning the games are on early in the morning or the early afternoon.

　　ABC broadcast three games from the tournament's opening weekend. The network's broadcasts last weekend, none of which included the U.S. team, drew an average overnight rating of 2.8, a 65 percent increase over the network's average from two matches during the opening weekend of the 2002 World Cup.
