　　LONDON, June 14 (Reuters) - Everton have completed the signing of defender Joleon Lescott from Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Premier League side said on Wednesday.

　　Lescott, 23, signed a four-year-deal. No financial details were released.

　　"He is someone who we have watched and watched for quite a long time," Everton manager David Moyes told the club website.

　　"He is another young, up-and-coming player, another British lad and, from my point of view, he is the best centre half in the Championship (second division) that I have seen. Hopefully he will make the step up."

　　Everton, who finished 11th in the league, signed striker Andrew Johnson from Crystal Palace for a club record 8.6 million pounds ($15.85 million) last month.
