Trinidad and Tobago's physical style could convince England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson to delay Wayne Rooney's comeback.
Eriksson will not reveal his plans for Rooney ahead of Thursday's match in Nuremberg.
And although the Swede will not rule out an appearance at some point, it is looking increasingly unlikely Rooney will play in Nuremberg.
His fitness has not been checked by the independent medical experts who oversaw the scan on his broken foot bone last week.
And despite pushing his case with some energetic training sessions, he may have to wait until England's final Group B game against Sweden next Tuesday for his World Cup debut.
Eriksson is considering sending on 17-year-old Theo Walcott up front if Michael Owen fails to last the 90 minutes again.
Trinidad and Tobago star Dwight Yorke warned Eriksson it will be a physical match tomorrow.
Yorke said: 'We have to be aggressive if we are to have a glimmer of hope.
'We have to play with intensity and determination - not just against Rooney - the whole of England will know they have been in a physical game.'
Rooney, 20, and his England team-mates fly to Nuremberg today to train in the Frankenstadion.
The Manchester United striker is straining at the leash to play but Eriksson has to strike a diplomatic balance.
He must balance consider England's immediate needs with Rooney's long-term fitness.
Independent experts Angus Wallace and Chris Moran, of the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, will not have the chance to visit the England camp before the game as they are not expected to arrive in Germany until at least Friday.
That complicates the issue for Eriksson because he had invited them to check Rooney's fitness on behalf of Manchester United.
It was a courtesy call designed to assure United he was not being reckless with the health of their star man.
But he will be going back on his word if he plays Rooney before Wallace and Moran have examined the player.
Trinidad and Tobago coach Leo Beenhakker wants to see Rooney in action against his team.
Dutchman Beenhakker said: 'I hope Wayne can play. You have to see the great players at the World Cup.
'I hope he is ready for part of the game. Perhaps for 20 minutes Wayne will come on the pitch.
'As a fan of football I am looking forward to seeing him.'
