本屆世界盃各隊中，從隊中曾經在世界盃上有過進球記錄的隊員數量上講，韓國隊位於第一，隊中至少於有５人曾經在世界盃進球。他們之中的多數是在上屆世界盃中射門得分的：安?桓，薛琦?，李乙容，宋??，上屆世界盃中，韓國總共進球8粒，而這8粒進球是由7個不同的球員打進的。

　　Korea Republic have more FIFA World Cup™ goalscorers in their squad for Germany 2006 than any other competing nation.

　　The South Koreans have no fewer than five scorers in their party - Ahn Jung-Hwan, Seol Ki-Hyeon, Lee Eul-Yong, Song Chong-Gug, Park Ji-Sung ? reflecting their success at their home tournament in 2002. There they advanced to the semi-finals and had no less than seven different players hitting the target - a remarkable statistic given that their total number of goals was eight.

　　Of the countries favoured to win the competition only Brazil, France and England boast a number of players who have already experienced the thrill of scoring in a FIFA World Cup. Italy, Argentina, the Netherlands and Spain, on the other hand, all have just one FIFA World Cup goalscorer: Alessandro Del Piero, Hernan Crespo, Phillip Cocu and Raul.

　　France and England both have four players who have found the net at previous tournaments. The 1998 champions have Thierry Henry, David Trezeguet, Zinedine Zidane and Lilian Thuram while England’s roster includes Michael Owen, David Beckham, Sol Campbell and Rio Ferdinand.

　　World champions Brazil possess three - although it would have been four if midfielder Edmilson had not pulled out of the tournament last week with a knee injury. Their trio is Ronaldo (his tally of 12 FIFA World Cup goals puts him head and shoulders above any other previous scorer in Germany), Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos. Germany also have three: Miroslav Klose, Michael Ballack and Oliver Neuville.

　　Of the less-fancied nations, the USA do well in this category with three previous scorers: Brian McBride, Landon Donovan and John O’Brien.
