　　World-Croatia's Leko signs for Monaco

　　ZAGREB, June 4 (Reuters) - Croatia midfielder Jerko Leko has signed for Monaco, the sport daily Sportske Novosti reported on Sunday.

　　"I wanted to join a strong European club and I'm sure that by playing for Monaco I will secure a regular position in the national side," said Leko after joining the French team from Ukraine's Dynamo Kiev.

　　Leko, 26, has played 35 times for his country, scoring twice.

　　Croatia launch their World Cup campaign against champions Brazil in Berlin on June 13. Their other Group F opponents are Australia and Japan.
