　　JOHN TERRY has got his hands on a load of Premiership silverware in the past two seasons.

　　Now the England defender wants to hold the famous golden World Cup in Germany — and prove that the Three Lions are the best team on the planet.

　　Chelsea skipper Terry, 25, said: “Anyone who has ever held a trophy will tell you there is nothing better. I’ve won a few over the past two years and you can’t get enough of it. It’s an amazing feeling.

　　“You want to be the best — and win the best trophies. That’s certainly what I’ve done at club level with Chelsea.

　　“Now it’s time to do it at international level as well.”

　　Terry had to come off during the first half of England’s 6-0 warm-up win over Jamaica at Old Trafford on Saturday as a precaution when he hurt his knee.

　　He said: “I got my studs caught and just twisted my knee but it will not be any problem.

　　“I will be training next week and OK for the first game.”

　　Terry received a tremendous ovation from the crowd as he walked down the tunnel.

　　Indeed the whole team were roared from the pitch following a lap of honour as they head off to Germany.

　　And Terry believes that the England fans now heading off with them could prove a vital 12th man.

　　He said: “Honestly, the support we get is first class.The players appreciate it so much.

　　“We have got some of the best supporters in the world. You can see they love us and we love them.

　　“They can be a big part of what we do in this World Cup.

　　We all believe that, with that kind of backing, anything can happen in Germany.

　　“We have a real opportunity to succeed, so let’s go there and do it together.”

　　Saturday was the perfect send-off for Terry and the team.

　　He said: “Now we just want to get over there and give a similar performance because we are playing some really good football at the moment.”

　　The England players now just want to get on with the real business — starting next Saturday with their first Group B clash against Paraguay.

　　Terry said: “That’s when the World Cup really gets under way for us. And we’ll be ready.
