Gallas ready for dirty tricks

MUNICH, GERMANY (TICKER) -- France defender William Gallas has warned that Portugal will play it dirty on Wednesday when the teams clash in the World Cup semifinal in Munich.
Gallas, who has had a solid tournament alongside Lilian Thuram in the center of the defense for Les Bleus, claimed their opponent will use every trick in the book to try and destabilize his team, which has six players - five of whom are likely to start on Wednesday - a yellow card away from suspension.
"We must be fully focused for 90 minutes because Portugal is a good team and it will try and do everything they can to destabilize us," Gallas said. "We must keep our cool throughout to try and beat this team."

Asked how he thought Portugal would try to rattle France, Gallas focused on their deceptive actions.
"I think they have the ability to destabilize teams with actions and little fouls and it's essential we keep cool," he said. "In this sort of match we must be careful of the Portuguese - they like diving, you can see that."
