　　MUNICH, June 24 (Reuters) - Germany are nowhere near their ultimate World Cup goal despite advancing to the quarter-finals with a 2-0 win over Sweden on Saturday, their coach Juergen Klinsmann said.

　　"We will not finish in the quarter-finals," a beaming Klinsmann told reporters. "Our appetite is getting bigger and not smaller."

　　Klinsmann had said before the tournament if Germany did not reach the last eight their campaign would be a failure.

　　But on Thursday he said his team would go further.

　　"It is just so much fun watching the team play. I have never seen Germany play like we played in the first 30 minutes," he said after Saturday's convincing victory.

　　"In a footballing nation like Germany and with the World Cup held here, it just cannot stop now," he said.

　　POTENTIAL CLASH

　　Germany will next play the winner of the match between Argentina and Mexico.

　　Asked about the prospect of a potential clash with Argentina, Klinsmann said his players were not afraid.

　　"We have a lot of respect for them and they have played wonderful football here. We have drawn twice in the past two years and it is time we step a little bit further."

　　Argentina play Mexico later on Saturday in Leipzig.

　　Klinsmann said his players were maturing with every match and were able to implement his "philosophy of play" and compete with the best without signs of nervousness.

　　"If you smile then you cannot have nerves and my players smile a lot," he said.

　　Striker Miroslav Klose, who was voted man-of-the-match, echoed his coach's views.

　　"We are a long way away from our goals. We still have a lot more to achieve," he said.
